Remember at some point in writing this blog, I kept going on and on about a translation, a foreword? Here it is in flesh :) It took soo long -3 years- for this tiny book to be ready. But it's finally there and to be honest I am so proud to see my name next to Kurt Godel, the greatest logician of 20th century.

Photocopy
My new way of photocopying :) Ready!
Go! :))
Well library was closing, and then the librarian could not manage to check out the book, then I did not have any credits on my copy-card. I needed these pages. Voila! :)
Summer in the city
The t-shirt is a gift from Nesin Matematik Koyu. Loving it. Thanks..
It's been quite a summer here. Today first time in weeks the breathing was possible. The luxurious part is that our library has AC. In Istanbul we have not in the library I studied. So when the summer hit Berlin I either went to the lake, sat in the water, read some or went to the library enjoy the cool air, stocked some breaths for the unbelievably humid warm night and studied.
I started my thesis. When you stop expecting help and and for real stop expecting help and know that you are not the baby bird which will be taught to fly anymore, you just must have the courage and stamina or build them from the beginning. I already flew once, so nobody will teach me it the second time. Now I know that. And the suggestions I got from several university pages helped of course. The most helpful one was: recycle. Yes. The best way to start a big project. Recycle..Of course from your own previous work.
I want to like my work, my writing... I want to have my own style... There is still much to be done.Still lots of stamina and courage to build. There is quite a lot sweat to be sweated. And then the most important of all: continuity
Ah and I learned LaTeX. Nothing to be scared of, really! The new versions are piece of cake. WinEdt is a very good editor if you are curious..
Now time for bed. My sleeping schedule is a chaos once again.. Blame it on series and the good books...I am so hungry for the fiction, I can just eat the books

In London I cannot help but spend a lot of time before crossing the street. So I look in both ways anyway..
There were tons of nice things that I plan to write here.. But my sister's lab results are late. And I am stressed. So is she. I am not with her which makes the situation a bit hard for both of us.. I just wish her a lot of luck. I think this year she was a bit unlucky. I am hoping that this changes right then and now.. Sending lots of positive whatever I have...You can, if you wish send some of whatever you have... (vibes, prayers, beams, lucks ;)
Have a lovely day everybody...

Chillin' in Oxford Street, studying, chatting, lovin'
Kaan's room/ house is beautiful. It's like a doll house, with many floors and tiny rooms in every floor. There are foxes in the gardens. Hilarious...I kinda like grey weathers... Feeling good and grateful.. Now it's time to miss other friends and family...
Have a wonderful weekend everybody..

Lazy...
The work, study materials, language exercises are piling up... Travelling in two days.. OK, I am letting my self be. Whatever.. Be lazy..Tomorrow I can practice yoga. Lovely (literally)...
Ireland, no? More plans...
Ireland... Photo from here
I am leaving Izmir on Wednesday. Staying a night in Istanbul, then flying to London! When my father heard that I was staying for 17 days in London, he asked me: Why don't I go see Ireland or Scotland! Why don't I? Seeds are planted, I cannot stop thinking about it!
I studied for my workshop presentation. I must have a plan for my thesis' first chapter. Actually, I would like to send a study paper for discussion in the beginning of April. Could that be possible? I need to focus... It's enough laziness and vacation I guess..
I also want to run tomorrow.. 20 minutes run for the peace of the mind...

Mood stimulation needed...

We will get through things eventually... Some stressful times, some stressful events.. But hey come on, look at us, we look like we can get through a lot of things :))
My sister and I went to a really really funny movie. It's Turkish and called "Eyvah Eyvah", at some point we laughed so hard we bumped our heads to each other. How is that possible?! :))
Originally we left the house to see "Alice in Wonderland" but contrary to what was said on the web page, the movie was dubbed and not 3D. So we decided against seeing it!
I did my practice at 10 pm. Lovely :) I probably will not be able to sleep for a long time. I hope sometime that timing of waking up and going to bed will be resolved.

Yoga Mat
Me performing urdhva dhanurasana :)
My one and only, new Yoga Mat arrived this afternoon, and I just completed my practice. A loooong and a tiring one. I am quite shaky :) But during the practice I felt so strong and flexible. I even did my least favorite asana parivrtta trikonasana and could get into lotus position when I was doing the shoulder stand, which I could never succeed.
I liked my mat. It will take some time to adjust I guess. Although it feels like I can slip I do not. I need to build the trust :) I am changing, I can feel it so as my asanas and yoga practice. I hope the change continues. I really like it.

Urla- Our Vineyards
Me picking grapes in our vineyards...
Would you like to come and help us this August ? :)
We might have a project. Hosting a grape harvest and wine making. Let's see if we can arrange it...

Fishing
This photo was taken in December, before the New Year’s Eve. These two guys looked really beautiful, in the peaceful gulf. I asked them if I could take a picture of them. They smiled and said " Of course" The Father then said, "Get a better focus of my son, he is really handsome". They were funny :)
And here, after an hour or so, they were visible from the café I was studying at. It's far away from the first point I saw them.
I do not like fishing much, except spear fishing. But they stayed there for hours as I studied. Would not mind being in their place for some time…
I miss mein Freund. Counting down from 10days :). I am not a great fan of cooking but when I cook with him it becomes such a pleasure. Aaaah I miss mein Freund.

I have been practicing intensely for the last days. My legs are shaky, muscles of shoulders are rebuilding. I am quite tired. Glad tomorrow is full moon- which means a Yoga-Free day.
Happy during my practices. Did a full primary series yesterday. Added couple of vinyasas between the asanas. But reluctant and lazy today. A short practiced happened...
We went for a walk in the afternoon. All of us were so lazy. We hardly pulled our selves from all day sat around cuisine and from our cozy warm kitchen. I would have liked to say it energized me, but no :) I am just as lazy as the minute I woke up. But we have this beautiful photo now. Photo credit: My mother.. In it: Me and my sister..

Sad..
I knitted matching mittens for Kaan and me. But I think Kaan's got lost in the cargo. I always trusted German postal services. So I am quite bumped and sad. There were also funny happy pills from my sister and a man scarf I knitted for him.
Today is new moon. No yoga. I was not feeling so well, something I ate and my weird sleep disorder caused that I guess. I can do only warm ups maybe. I kinda wanna move, after a whole day of lying down..
I am flying to Istanbul tomorrow morning. What can I do for speeding up the process of learning German ! I am so not motivated and keep travelling all the time. So going to a course for now is not an option. Maybe I should start a German blog!

Want to move to Sydney..
Me and Sydney from the Sydney Zoo

As a philosopher of mathematics, I cannot tell you how important black swans are...
Bondi Beach in the Sunset. I did a bit of body surfing there..

Macquire University
On a ferry to my hotel from Circular Quay..
I went to a conference to present my paper in Sydney. I was so impressed by lovely people, the accent, the way they talk 'no worries luv' :), the laid back, relax culture. I am just settling in Berlin but my vagabond soul says, would not be wonderful to move and live in Sydney! I could have applied to a university in there, I was invited. But it was just too far away from my family, and a lot of people I love, so I could not dare. But suddenly I want to have a life there...
I actually want to settle for good on the other hand. This moving and setting up a life and moving again and again and again is really tiring, physically and emotionally. I am getting stronger each time. But I am really looking for some settled times...

Early day and an early latte...
Photos from Badeschiff web site
.
I am planning to go to Badeschiff for swimming and sauna then to the library.
I woke up early today. When I open my eyes and see the sun , I am up quite motivated. Which is rare here :)
Aaaand, that is my first "almost" successful latte
I still haven't visited Yoga this morning. I practiced some asanas even yesterday, after a night of drinking. But yesterday was a bit of a hard day of course. With a lot of toxins in my body and uncontrolled emotions. Hangovers mostly do that, I am pulled into a dark emotional loop. But then I walked in the heavy snow fall for 20 minutes and was feeling much better..It's amazing that your thoughts sometimes cannot control your emotions. Hangover + PMS is a strong combination for domination of your feelings... I kept telling my self, it's just for today, just you need to pass today, but I was still feeling sad without any reasons. That is gone and my cheery me is back. What a relief.
Have a lovely day everybody!

What did you do for grace today?
Photo by Yaprak Arda: Windmills of Bodrum
I woke up, visited Yoga for a while, then decided to pay a visit to the public library in Urla. I used to go to the one in the old building when I was a child and read probably all the children books they had. The new one has no character, it was screaming for you to get out. Nonetheless, I subscribed, got a book and sat for 15 minutes to work. Then left... I miss old libraries, big wooden tables, high ceilings, old style stoves. I really love the library in Bodrum. I miss Bodrum...
Photo: Urla Iskele by panoramio
Anyways, I do not think studying in Urla Library is an option. So I went to the seaside of Urla. Well my mother and sister were already there - I did not know before deciding-. When I called them I asked them to wait. I hopped on a Dolmus and off I went to the beautiful Iskele. The sea was so calm and was like azure. And the moon was already risen. We sat in one of the coziest cafes in Urla, Denizalti Cafe. It's a new one. They have internet and an amazing view. I think I will try to go there everyday and write my paper and foreword. I count this as a step for grace in working and in my world.
And I refused a whole big second bowl of pop corn, I guess that goes for moderation...
What did you do for moderation and grace today?
Love, Ozge

Life Coaching for you and for me
That's two of my presents together. My bookmark and my lovely book. I love both of them. Already reading my "I am a Strange Loop" by Hofstadter. He is a very interesting person. I really like the way he writes and thinks.
The Lesson 1 of the life coaching for academics (this is also for me)
Studying
If you planned to study for hours and cannot sit in front of your computer or book, just say that you will spend half an hour on your work. Half an hour is better than nothing, and you almost always will spend more time than that.
Moreover, if you plan to sit for 2 hours or so, you always end up with dawdling on something else in the beginning for a while. In order to avoid that, program your mind to work/ study and exactly know from where to start in the beginning, before you sit... That's a lifesaver. You can immediately start working.
Applications and jobs
Do not think about the bureaucracy in advance... When the time comes, it will be SO easy. Hence, in the beginning, just think about what you want. Try to imagine yourself after you get in... wherever you like.
When you try to decide what you want to do in life also, try to imagine yourself doing that. If you cannot imagine that, it's even good for a structure to think about what you do after you finished your day with your job, what time you get up, whether you have kids in the house. You might be amazed how these things can make you decide what you want to have as a job in your life..
It feels good to remember these. I hope it works for you guys too...
To be continued...

Moderation and grace
First of all, I want to thank all my friends who spoiled me by pouring gifts for Xmas, early new year and early birthday. Especially to Kaan, who knows me so well and was my personal Santa Claus for this year. He got me this ring and the watch (and so many other things). He always gets the right thing. I also feel shy because he got me all the things that I said I liked in this blog. I might upload the photos of other gifts from friends in time. Let's see where the life is taking us...
I had a medium length Yoga practice and felt really good. How appropriate for this post :)
Have a lovely week everybody..
